Lake Fenton home destroyed by fire

Fenton Twp. — A 104-year-old house on Lake Fenton was destroyed by fire Thursday afternoon, April 8. Fenton Township Fire Department received the 911 call at 3:52 p.m. A neighbor called to report that a two-story home in the 2200 block of Grove Park Road was on fire. In addition to Fenton Township, fire departments from Fenton City, Linden City, Mundy Township, Atlas Township and Hartland responded with mutual aid. Fenton Township Fire Chief Ryan Volz said the fire department initially thought there could be a person trapped inside due to two vehicles in the driveway, however, the homeowners were not home at the time of the fire.
