Introduction to Bee City USA
Committee members from Bee City USA (Salem) invite the community to join them at 2 p.m. Sunday at pavilion 8 in Waterworth Memorial Park. Learn what it means to be recognized as a Bee City USA community and what the committee has planned for 2021. There will be a discussion on the importance of pollinators to our local community and the surrounding area, identify many of these pollinators, and talk about how community members can help. Lion Club fish fry
Newell Lions Club will hold its last fish fry until the fall from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. May 21 at 510 Washington St. Call 304-387-3413 to order a meal.
E. Liverpool clean up continues
East Liverpool clean up will continue on the east end at 10 a.m. May 22 at Second Baptust Church, 1091 Pennsylvania Ave. Free lunch will be served around 1 p.m. Bring gloves, weed eaters and freinds. Volunteers can sign in at the event for an opportunity to win a $25 certificate to Sparkle.
Naloxone (Narcan) training
The Family Recovery Center will host naloxone (Narcan) training from 1 to 3 p.m. May 17 at the Fawcett Apartments, 325 Moore St., East Liverpool. FRC’s Project DAWN will be hosting the community event for individuals to obtain a free naloxone (Narcan) kit and training on how to use it. For information contact Deborah at 330-385-5970 ext. 118.
