A major track and signalling upgrade of the railway into London Victoria station has begun this weekend, with work due to be carried out during the weekends until the end of June.
The upgrades in south London largely focus on the line running between East Croydon and Victoria, and run through Clapham Junction.
Improvement work at Gatwick Airport is also part of the project which got underway over the May Bank Holiday weekend.
Over all five weekends in May, and two Sundays in June, no Southern trains will run in or out of London Victoria, and most will be diverted to London Bridge as major signalling and track upgrades continue on lines into London Victoria.
