Fatal house fire investigated south of Warrenton Fauquier authorities have opened an investigation of a fatal house fire Tuesday morning south of Warrenton.
A passing motorist and a neighbor called 911 just after 9 a.m. to report the fire at a home in the 9400 block of Green Road, sheriffâs Sgt. Steve Lewis said in a press release.
âFire units and law enforcement arrived a short time later to find a single-family home fully involved with some structural collapse,â Sgt. Lewis wrote.
Firefighters found a body inside the house, he added.
âThe identity of the deceased is being withheld pending forensic examination by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Manassas,â Sgt. Lewis added. âMore information will be released when made available.â
