GODFREY Village officials are cautioning people to obey the law in placing campaign signs.
Officials with the Godfrey Building and Zoning Department on Tuesday reported they have received complaints that some signs are going up without property owner’s permission.
Village officials said they will not pull improperly placed political signs, but asked residents to make sure the signs are out of the right-of-way and that permission from the property owner has been obtained.
Officials noted that property owners can remove and dispose of any signs posted on their property without consent.
