Parts of the province are expected to experience severe thunderstorms accompanied by heavy downpours on Tuesday morning until midnight, with a high likelihood of flooding.
KwaZulu-Natal was last week hit by heavy rains and strong winds, resulting in infrastructure damage, with over 1,000 homes destroyed in parts of the province, and eight confirmed deaths.
The province is already experiencing rainfall and the Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (Cogta) said that communities must prepare for the possibility of localised flooding.
