Nigeria Claims to Free 344 Student Captives from Boko Haram 19 Dec 2020 The Nigerian government said on Thursday it had secured the release of over 340 student hostages abducted by the Islamic terror group Boko Haram last week. A large number of unidentified gunmen ambushed the all-boys Government Science Secondary School in Kankara, a town in northern Nigeria’s Katsina state, on the night of December 11, abducting hundreds of students. Nigerian Official: More Than 300 Abducted Schoolboys Freed MAIDUGURI, Nigeria More than 300 schoolboys abducted last week by armed men in northwest Nigeria have been released, a government official said Thursday. In an announcement on Nigerian state TV, NTA, Katsina State Gov.
