amy: hello, welcome, october 10th, i m amy coveno. first, kevin skarupa joins us in the weather center. kevin: it looks like a cool start to the holiday weekend with a warmer finish. we start off this morning with temperatures in the 30 s and 40 s. some extra clouds up north this morning otherwise looks like we start the day fairly quiet with any early clouds giving way to sunshine. what will be the coolest and most crisp autumn-like day that we will have for the holiday weekend. temperatures starting in the 40 s and then jumping into the 50 s, maybe near 60 and you ll also have a northwesterly breeze that will add a bite to the air through the afternoon. all flannels are a go and from there, we re talking about warmer temperatures for the second of the third days of the holiday forecast. we ll talk about that coming up. amy: bipartisan team of legislators is proposing a new bill that could put a drug court in every county in the state. more than 300 people died of drug overd
no one covers new hampshire like we do. now, wmur news 9 this morning. hampshire. 6:00 on sunday, october 11th. i m amy coveno, we ll get to the top stories, but first, josh judge is in the weather center with a look at the forecast. you came back. josh: you can t keep me away at least this weekend. let s look at what s going on right now. it s calm, cloudy skies, 40 s for most areas, 30 s in areas farther north. temperatures. middle 30 s, the clouds came in and stopped the temperature freefall. it s cold out there, but would have been colder if the clouds had not come in and that s where we stand right now, but we will see those temperatures rebound nicely once the clouds move on. there is is a look at the clouds, part of a weak disturbance, nice timing, moves through in the overnight hours and revealing plenty more sunshine to go. as we go through the second half of the weekend and the bonus time for columbus day, too, north to south, a pretty nice one out there. breezy a
this ongoing investigation. the victim s brother says he s pleased to see this much attention is being payed to this case. we re way past the shock stage and we re all looking for some sort of resolution. and there s some anxiety about that. we know people are working on this and we ll get this. we are hopeful that it will be resolved at some point. andy: officials say they weren t they don t anticipate being back reporting live in manchester. andy hershberger. jean: autopsy results reveal how a manchester man died tuesday s office says michael pittman was shot in the torso outside his apartment on granite street. investigators are calling his death a homicide. and they are still searching for the suspect. authorities say the shooting is not random. josh: two men are facing resisting arrest charges after a pair of foot chases in 27-year-old cory roukey was wanted on another warrant. police found him at the subway on second street yesterdya afternoon. after lockin
