1 Year Anniversary BYOV

It’s just over 1 year on from our first BYOV event last January, despite the Coronavirus we have managed to continue to grow the event, and are now pleased to be hosting our 6th event at El Nido. Unfortunately we will be without co-founder Xiaoshui who has returned to the US to pursue her studies, but she will continue to lend her support and be with us in spirit. Along with myself and Bill (DJ ADDJ) we welcome a familiar and popular face to our host DJ line-up, Yunnan’s Strawberry Papa. We look forward to seeing you all for our one year anniversary and the first event in the year of the cow. ....

Rulers, though forbidden from interfering, of course tried.
So have their successors. Among the most intent on harnessing history for political gain are the current leaders of the Chinese Communist Party. They routinely scrub Chinese-language scholarly books, journals, and textbooks of anything that might undermine their own legitimacy including anything that tarnishes Mao Zedong, the fou ....
