A music school in Southfields is hosting a virtual Christmas concert this weekend in aid of creating opportunities for disadvantaged musicians in the borough. World Heart Beat Academy teaches around 350 students between the ages of 4 to 25 years from its headquarters in Kimber Road. Dedicated to making music accessible, half of its students are or on full or partial bursaries and receive free instruments. On Saturday December 19 and Sunday December 20, members of the academy will be showcasing their talent in a festive concert, live streamed to viewers homes. From 6.30pm audiences can sing along to the likes of Harry Connick Jr., Joni Mitchell and Alicia Keys.
