The money for planned parenthood actually goes to which has nothing to do and, in fact, nothing to do with abortion, has to do with contraceptive women s health access. that s the status quo whether you like it or not. what they were talking about was abortion and the strategy here is to make people uncomfortable, try to make people think about the difficult issues around what is a difficult medical procedure for many people, people bring different feelings to it but, again, focusing on the nitty-gritty of the procedure to try to back pro-choice activists into a corner, and it was really interesting because the witnesses even were the familiar people. they were the same people who were involved in a quote/unquote partial birth abortion ban. that was a debate, again, that made pro-choice people run scared. and by focusing on later abortions, which are rare and people have all kinds of reasons for having them, it backs people away and makes them be afraid to stand up for the larger quest
