‘Serial’ bank robber arrested in Dauphin County heist had sued Penn State, Catholic church and Tyler Perry Updated Jan 06, 2021; A Harrisburg man accused of stealing from a local bank this week previously robbed at least 10 others and tried to win big money by claiming to be a victim of Jerry Sandusky and the Catholic church. Shamont Lyle Sapp, 57, was faced with his latest robbery charges Tuesday after Lower Paxton Township police said he fled with cash from the M&T Bank in the 4900 block of Jonestown Road after threatening a teller. This is far from the first time Sapp has been accused of using illegal or questionable methods to make money, according to authorities and court records. At one point, he filed a lawsuit against Jamie Foxx and Tyler Perry because he said they stole an idea from him for a movie called “Skank Robbers.”
