Reporter an investigation is underway tonight. The streets are tense in the wake of the shooting. We have new information on how it unfolded, including new Police Body Camera video. On Police Body Camera video an officer in Brooklyn Center minnesota warns 20yearold dante wright not to try to escape. [ bleep ]. I shot him. Reporter after wright scrambled back into his vehicle, the officer fired into the car. Then, police say, wright drove off, drove several blocks, then struck another vehicle. Dante right died at the scene on sunday afternoon. The police chief said he was not aware of any weapons in wrights possession. Today the chief said it appears the officer had fired her gun by mistake. It is my belief that the officer had the intention to deploy their taser, but instead shot mr. Wright with a single bullet. This appears to me, from what i viewed and the officers reaction and distress immediately
