WhatsApp has banned close to 6.9 crore accounts in India between January 1 to November 30, 2023. The figure will probably cross the 7-crore mark once the company releases its account for December last year.
WhatsApp has released its monthly report detailing actions taken in response to user grievances and violations of Indian laws or WhatsApp s Terms of Service. In the specified period, WhatsApp banned a total of 7,548,000 accounts in India.

Instant messaging platform WhatsApp on Wednesday said it banned 37.16 lakh accounts in India in November, about 60 per cent more than the accounts it barred in the preceding month.
