The Atlanta Journal-Constitution created this searchable list of the most persistently dangerous apartment complexes in the Atlanta metro area in recent years and provides the reasons that each complex puts residents at risk. The AJC examined records from dozens of government agencies in order to produce the list of 275 complexes, as part of the Dangerous Dwellings series.
According to Amaya Sands arrest warrant, she left the three-year-old unattended with a loaded pistol within arm's reach. Cobb County Police said the child was critically injured.
