The scenic drive, from Gordon’s Bay and through the coastal towns of Rooi Els, Betty’s Bay and Pringle Bay in the Western Cape, reopened on Monday just in time for the December holidays.
The Western Cape Department of Infrastructure says that repairs to Clarence Drive, the Palmiet Bridge and the R44/R43 intersection are progressing well following damage sustained during the Heritage Day long weekend storm.
The Overstrand region is still reeling from the devastating Heritage Day long weekend storm, which left the area without water, washed away homes, killed and displaced people and animals, and destroyed infrastructure.
