PARKERSBURG Two members of the Blennerhassett Chapter National Society Daughters of the American Revolution posted wins in the American Heritage Committee annual contest open to all members.
With the theme of “Rise and Shine Your Light on Your Revolutionary War Patriot,” Blennerhassett Chapter members Cathy Hinkle placed 1st nationally in the in the unenhanced color photo category and Roberta Gellner placed 2nd in the West Virginia-only contest in Machine Quilted Quilts.
Hinkle’s photograph showed a candle reflecting light through a pair of old eyeglasses sitting on her family’s opened bible with her Revolutionary War patriot and his family’s names showing. ....
