Parks department rebounding from COVID, engineering earns grants

Bryan City Council recently learned the parks and recreation department has started recovering from COVID while the engineering department is working hard on getting grant funding.

Improvements made to the city’s sewer system by the engineering department in recent years seem to be showing up at the end of the line as well.

Luce: 'We're not immune'

He wants to do it for a very clear reason. “We’re not immune,” Luce told The Bryan Times. Luce is part of a group of community and business leaders who are working with Williams County Health Commissioner Jim Watkins to help stop the spread of COVID-19 through disseminating information. Watkins said Gov. Mike DeWine has said it is important for community and business leaders to come together to help spread the word. “I think it’s important we have everyone in the community be a part of this (fight against COVID-19),” Watkins said. “This is what it’s going to take. It’s really got to be a community effort.”
