What s new today? A University of Central Florida student in Orlando has the more contagious COVID-19 variant that was first identified in the United Kingdom. The B.1.1.7 variant, or the UK variant, is believed to be more contagious and slightly deadlier. Walmart says it made a mistake by allowing Florida residents under 65 with certain at risk conditions book COVID-19 vaccine appointments. Florida only allows hospital providers to vaccinate anyone it considers to be extremely vulnerable to COVID-19, regardless of age. But the company apparently plans to honor those appointments.
