Published: 5/7/2021 8:00:32 AM Back in February, the Weare Selectman and Weare School Board held their deliberative session. On March 9th, both boards held the voting day. Both sessions were very well run with all COVID precautions followed. The John Stark School Board elected to postpone both their sessions with voting to be held on May 11. A common practice of the town, Weare schools, John Stark and finance committee combined is to send all Weare households an informational mailer for the March vote. Now that mailer is useless to Weare voters for the John Stark school vote on May 11. Why? because you more than likely did not keep it. You don’t remember the finance committee’s input for John Stark ballot. I believe this was part of their plan to postpone the vote, thus keeping the voters uninformed. Article 5 “as worded would allow retention of up to $489,000 this year to be held as a contingency fund for no specific project” (Weare Finance Committee). The committee did n
