It was very organized. but interestingly enough, a lot of people came out because they saw it on twitter, they saw it on television. they really wanted to be out on the streets protesting. we can tell you that those protesters shut down traffic on the highway going in both directions. they also shut down traffic on sixth avenue, seventh avenue, broadw broadway. all the time, they were accompanied by a very strong police force that made clear those protesters were not going to get out of hand. around rockefeller center, we can tell you the police had people pinned almost with barriers being moved accordingly as the crowd moved forward and back, preventing them from getting to the tree lighting. and then as we walked down sixth avenue, those brifrs were making sure everyone was kept in line. we eerp told so far there were about 30 arrests. one man did lay down in the street a little while ago and he ....
