Kennebec Sanitary Treatment District Superintendent Timothy LeVasseur said Tuesday that 34 million, not 15 million, gallons of sewage flowed into the Kennebec River when a sewer main broke.
John Jabar Jr. and his son, John Jabar III, want to construct apartment buildings on about 3.5 acres at 15 Washington St. and still must go before the Planning Board for site plan review.
The board's recommendation is meant to improve parking access at Head of Falls Village, which is proposed for the intersection of Temple and Front streets.
