the constitution affords the executive an awful lot of emergency powers. it s important to note most of the speakers we heard at today s rally were less anti-mandate and more just anti-vaccine. nbc news reporter gary grumbach has more from the march route. reporter: hey there, alicia. thousands of people have come from the washington monument down here to the lincoln memorial, and we ve talked to folks from all over the country, from minnesota to new york, from south carolina to virginia. and they all are a variety of different people. some are unvaccinated. some of them are in fact vaccinated. some of them are anti-vax. some of them are just simply anti-mandate. and that all has one message. their one main message is they don t believe government should be controlling and forcing people to get vaccinations to go to school or to go to the gym or to go to a restaurant. they believe it should be individual choice.
