Obviously there are too many people here who i love and have known for a long time to shout out everybody individually but i do want to shout out a couple of families and i want to shut out my pbs family. I want to talk a little bit about why i wrote this book the first reason is that i dont know if you all are like this. But im the kind of person when i go to a movie and there is no black characters in the movie and then people are thinking about it. Unlike it was pretty good but where were the black people. I feel that way about our history as well. Its really important to me to write a book that has africanamerican characters at the center of the narrative its a book of history and argument.
