ST. JOHN, N.D. The water tower in St. John in Rolette County is frozen, putting the water supply at risk.
All it took was a bit of missing insulation that blew away in a wind storm in January for the water tower to freeze. Now crews are using stream to defrost the tower, and make sure residents still have access to water. Multiple agencies, contractors, assistance providers all just working together to maintain water to the consumers and alleviate any future damage, said Ward Heidbreder, technical advisor with rural North Dakota Water Systems Association.
