It is a form of group insurance. The individual may perform poorly for some time, but the company goes on. The company has the ability to keep cruising along even with some poor performers on board and thus carries all passengers. The work and risks are shared.
It was Yogesh Sapkale of Moneylife who reminded me that I had finished 100 articles in this series and, at this point, I may want to say something special (or different?). There was a lot of media coverage on 30 November 2023, on the death of Charles Munger, the alter ego and foil of Warren Buffet for over 60 years, as they together built Berkshire Hathaway into an empire. Though many of us always heard about Mr Buffet, the name of Mr Munger hardly featured in any media reports. Mr Buffet generally spoke for both of them.
