Massive USG budget increase goes to Lawnparties, Alcohol Initiative

In first raise since 1996, USG votes to recommend activity fees hike by more than 100 percent

USG voted to increase student activity fees from $45.50 to $95.50 in its meeting on Sunday, May 7. Prior to the meeting, USG had a meeting in February to discuss the proposal and an email was sent to the student body at 2 p.m. on the day of the meeting, informing them of the vote.

USG out of time to pass budget amendment during spring semester, tabled with one meeting to go

USG discussed a constitutional amendment, which would have restructure budget approval for summer spending in preparation for fall Lawnparties. The change requires two votes to pass and will not pass with one meeting remaining in the 2022–2023 academic year.
