THOUSANDS of pounds has been donated to a local charity facing jeopardy due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The Maelor Voluntary Service is just one on many charities that have faced financial difficulty during the course of the pandemic. However, thanks to a generous donation, they can continue helping the community. North Wales Freemasons donated £3,000 to the Maelor Voluntary Service (MVS), a registered charity providing cafe facilities at the Maelor Hospital. Valle Crucis Lodge initially agreed to donate £500, quickly followed by £500 from Group Seven and £1,000 from North Wales Freemasons Charity. Masonic Charitable Foundation then added a further £1,000 via their match funding scheme to reach the wonderful £3,000 total.
