The Prime Minister is set to announce more training and resources for schools and companies in england to deal with what she calls the Hidden Injustice of Mental Illness. In a speech in Central London shortly, theresa may will order a review of Mental Health services and outline her plan to create a Shared Society. But her announcement has been called puny by some. Its the first instalment of what is expected to be a series of major Domestic Policy Announcements by mrs may over the next month or so. Really to try and give substance to her governments agenda beyond brexit because other than grammar schools, really weve heard nothing from theresa may about what she actually wants to do. [ inaudible question ] s middle incomes haven t increased. hang on a second. you don t increase wages by increasing the number of people going after jobs. if you ve got employees competing with each other for jobs, wages stagnate. employees competing for employees, wages go up. we re bring in a million people into the country under current immigration law, more than the population of san francisco, you really hold the wages down. this is a way to get the wages up. i don t think that the government could artificially increase wages. by the way, i m not opposed to increasing the minimum wage. i m opposed to increasing it to the point that it kills entry point jobs. as a fast food restaurant operator, what percentage of your employees were immigrant? we didn t keep track of it like that. i don t know what percent were
feeling that we had two turns with clinton. two terms with president obama. we have done great things. i don t want to minimize what was done. we are still seeing wealth consolidate and the poor get poorer and middle class wages stagnate. we have not had our fdr moment. we have not reshaped the way we think about opportunity many this country. or if we are start thing to reshape the way we think about it. we have not reshaped what we do. we have not come up with a strategy like we had mid last century where everybody grew together. we have not figured out how to do it with all of the political power we have had. progressives say it s not about score settling or score keeping. they are increasingly struggling. you said it s decision time. are they going to put cuomo on the line again. if i knew the answer take a guess! put odds on it.
