When considering the Project Zone and the Project Area together, the Southern Cardamom REDD+ Project overlaps with all or parts of six protected areas under the purview of the MOE: parts of the Botum Sakor National Park, the Central Cardamom National Park, the Peam Krasop Wildlife Sanctuary, the Phnom Samkos Wildlife Sanctuary, the Southern Cardamom National Park, and the Tatai Wildlife Sanctuary (see Map 2). Chin Malin was born in Takhmao, Kandal province, to a doctor and a homemaker. A studious pupil since high school, Malin won scholarships at every stage of his tertiary and postgraduate education. He has two bachelor’s degrees – Law and English, two Master’s degrees in political science and law, and a doctorate in political science. He is currently completing another doctorate.

Cambodia kicked off the new academic year of 2021-2022 for all grades on January 10, with all students required to implement the “new normal path in education” in the context of Covid-19. This came after two years of remote learning and disruptions to regular classroom instruction due to the pandemic.
