Good afternoon. Im martha maccallum. So President Biden vowed to be the most pro Union President in history. He certainly tried to exemplify that today in the Battleground State of michigan where well see former President Trump later today. Hes now the first sitting president to join a strike picket line. Youve earned more than what youre getting paid now. That, the enemy, isnt some foreign country miles away. Its right here in our own area. Its corporate greed. Corporate greed. The president talking about in michigan just a short time ago. We have reached out to all three of the big automakers, the ceos of all of those three big Car Companies. General motors did put out a statement. They declined. Theyre not going to speak publicly at this time about the president s decision to join the picket line this afternoon. G. M. s statement said this its focus is not on politics but bargaining in good face. The president made the short hourlong flight from the white house to michigan today in
filibuster, didn t talk about packing the courts. i agree. one thing is really important is that we have to expand the electorate and that s something that if you look at the race in florida, beto and stacey abrams. we play the same game in the same envelope we ll get the same result and to agree with your point, we need folks who are looking at how do we bring in people who have never been part of the political process before, that to me is how we re going to change what happens in 2020. jesse jackson 1984, 1988 campaigns were revolutionary, they were voter registration campaigns. if you don t want to sit next to me in the lunch counter, we ll hit with you moral persuasion. they wanted power, for african-americans electoral power. democrats are uncomfortable with the idea of having power. they want to change people s hearts and love but you need power. we go from there and try to make the world better once we have some of them. i love that. we ll be back later. thank you ver
encouraged citizens to register to vote in order to help convict the officers in the case. they cite the fact that some specifically said the only way we get a conviction is by being represented on juries so there are young people out there right now planning to run massive voter registration campaigns to get that conviction to get what they consider to be just frs freddie gray. and that s increddule s. you are talking about a city run by black people. the majority of the people are black. everybody in the food chain of this whole issue is black. so what are you doing? if you are trying to stack the deck it is already stacked. i go back to the anticop sentiment that has been brewing across the nation. there is no way these cops will get a fair shake and the defense is good to move. it s a shocking thing is that baltimore is fighting it. you would think that they would have already exonerated a few of the people because all six of

the white house knows democrats hold the senate, he s got a little bit of juice left to do something in this last two years of his term. he doesn t, it s lame duck central. he s all about foreign policy and it is a it s very similar to the last two years of the bush presidency. so yes, the white house is very clear. to pick up on jonathan s point here, there are things that the democrats are doing in places like kentucky and arkansas, that barack obama did in a lot of other states but never did in those states because they weren t important to him for his primary campaign in 08 or the general election. basic tackling and targeting voters what about georgia? they did work in georgia in 2008 but they are investing the the democratic senate committee is investing $60 million, essentially for turnout. what does that mean? means voter registration campaigns in states that the obama campaign never touched in 08 and 12. that means there s still a significant minority population
