narrative, not a voter narrative. one of the things that caught my attention last night, i saw the clip, was when joe biden was asked about precisely when he decided to run, how had he come to that decision. here s what he said to stephen colbert. charlottesville, when those folks came out of the fields carrying torches, when the president was asked about it they asked what he thought. he said i thought there were very fine people on both sides. no president, sitting president s ever said anything like that making a moral equivalence between haters and those folks who are saying, no, no, not in my town. and i realized that things weren t going to change very much with this president. is it enough, adrienne, is it enough to say that i want to return this country to pre-trump normalcy? is just that argument alone enough to get him across the finish line this time?
