Desperate families are trying to secure the release of more than 20,000 Ukrainians held captive by Russia. Rights activists have said the Geneva Conventions are being violated.
The Russian media has reported that their troops and government have 'evacuated' a total of 1,021,871 Ukrainians to Russia, including 187,636 children since the start of the invasion. Ukrainians were reportedly forced to go to Russia and were beaten in the process.
