Every year, the City of Rio Rancho renews a vow, signed into proclamation by the mayor. The city, the proclamation says, will forever remember the events that took place on 9.11.2001. Sunday marks 21 years since 9/11 – the deadliest terrorist attacks on U.S. soil – and a memorial park in Rio Rancho began a weekend of remembrance with flags placed in honor of each victim.
In commemoration of the 911 terrorist attacks in 2001, the City of Rio Rancho will hold a memorial service this Sunday at 7 a.m. at Vista Verde Memorial Park, 4310 Sara Road, SE.
