HAMPTON, Va. Virginia lawmakers have pushed forward a state resolution to designate racism as a public health crisis to Gov. Ralph Northam s desk.
House Joint Resolution 537, sponsored by central Virginia Delegate Lashrecse Aird, awaits Gov. Northam s signature. The measure, if signed, would enact five policies toward fighting systemic racism in Virginia.
