Five Prince George Minor Hockey Association players made the final cut on Sunday at the Team North Under-17 try outs at the Elkcentre.
With the North East and North West zones combined, the competition was fierce for the 20 roster spots.
“These things are always busy, always exhausting. We were at the rink from Friday evening until Sunday noon. It was a pretty intense weekend,” said Team North head coach Jason Garneau. “It went pretty well. The boys were all well behaved. It went pretty smooth. There was some good competition. It’s a pretty level group. There are no real super stars. It’s a nice group of kids.”
