The Vigo County Security Center’s days are officially numbered, after the Vigo County Council voted to subject the old jail to demolition during Tuesday evening’s meeting.
The Vigo County Council voted Tuesday evening on all of the 29 measures that were presented at last Thursday’s sunshine, or discussion, meeting — and all but one were approved.
Among Vigo County s public health challenges are the increasing number of individuals in the criminal justice system who face mental health and substance use disorder issues.
