Lucknow: A mountain of garbage right next to a residential area is a plaguing menace in any corner of the world. Not because of the stench that bothers everyone, it is also the carelessness on the part of the public who contributes to it, as well as the local municipal bodies who make hollow promises about solving the problem.
However, a 32-year-old man named Ashutosh Singh decided to protest against this in a rather unusual yet intriguing way. Hailing from Lucknow, he was so frustrated by the municipal corporation s incompetency that he set up a barbeque near the dump. Instead of using the usual coal to heat it up, he used the waste from the garbage pile to do so.

In a seemingly weird manner of protest, a resident of the Indira Nagar locality in Lucknow, actually hauled the Lucknow Municipal Corporation (LMC) over the garbage, instead of the proverbial coals. The resident, Ashutosh Singh, 32, set up a portable barbeque grill, using garbage as fuel, outside his house.
He was protesting against the mounting pile of garbage that had not been removed despite please to the local municipal authorities. He then grilled cottage cheese and vegetables and served them to friends with tea. The protest continued for three hours on Thursday afternoon.
