Burlington High School bomb threat causes evacuation

No incendiary devices were discovered Friday following a search of Burlington High School that was prompted by a phoned-in bomb threat that resulted in the evacuation of the building.
Burlington School District Superintendent Pat Coen said he was notified by Vida Long, an associate principal at the high school, that someone had phoned in a bomb threat at 2:14 p.m. Friday.
We are emptying the building, the Burlington Police Department has been notified and the protocols are in action, Coen told The Hawk Eye shortly after ordering the evacuation. She called me and said, I just received a bomb threat, and I immediately said, Get off the phone, get all of the kids out of the building. ....
