Vestal Graduates Join The Vestal Police Department
Students from Vestal High School have had a chance to interact with local law enforcement through a partnership that has gone on for almost 10 years.
Graduates from the Vestal High School Youth Police Academy have been given leadership opportunities, and three of those grads have gone on to become part of the Vestal Police Department.

According to a news release from the Vestal Central School District, the new officers are Bryant Mabee-class of 2018, Alyssa Chapman-class of 2017, and Justin Perez-class of 2016 joined the department last year.
All three of these officers are also graduates of the Vestal High School Youth Police Academy who has teamed up with the Vestal Police department to help students with leadership skills, team building, decision making, and building a trust between the students and community leaders.
