Allan MacEachern is on track to be re-elected as mayor of St. Stephen.
After initial results were uploaded Tuesday, MacEachern is in the lead with 763 votes, according to results on the Elections New Brunswick website.
His lone competitor, Vernon Card is trailing in the results with a total of 241 votes.
All six of the town’s councillors were elected by acclamation. They include incumbents Phil Chisholm, Marg Harding, David Hyslop, Ken Parker and Ghislaine Wheaton, and newcomer Vic Thiessen.
While most New Brunswickers voted on May 10, those in the Edmundston-Madawaska region only voted on Tuesday.
