Vehicle Accident – On Feb. 7, 2021 at 4:09 a.m., this two-vehicle crash occurred as Unit 1, a an unknown make and model, driven by Operator 1, was traveling in the right lane of I 78 traversing west when it struck the righthand side of Unit 2, a 2016 Dodge Journey, driven by Operator 2, a 24 year old Chambersburg woman, accompanied by Passenger 1, a 34 year old Chambersburg man, and Passenger 2, an 11 year old Chambersburg female. Unit 2 sustained disabling damage to the front right wheel and right side. Upon contact from Unit 1, Unit 2 came to a complete stop in the lefthand lane of I 78 West. Unit 2 came to final rest facing west in the lefthand lane of travel. Operator 1 failed to remain at the scene with Unit 1 following the crash. Operator 2, Passenger 1, and Passenger 2 were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash and did not sustain any injuries. PSP Jonestown was assisted on scene by Joe May’s Towing.

Vehicle Accident – On Dec. 14, 2020 at approximately 11:15 a.m., the PSP Jonestown barracks investigated a two-vehicle hit and run crash at the intersection of SR 22 and Lincoln School Rd. in East Hanover Twp. This crash occurred as Unit 2, a 2001 Ford Escape, driven by Operator 2, a 34 year old Harrisburg man, was traveling west in the right lane of SR 22. Unit 1, a Ford 300 Series, driven by Operator 1, was traveling east and turning left, from the turning lane onto Lincoln School Rd. Unit 1 turned into Unit 2, striking the rear-end of the vehicle.
