Developing this morning, out of manatee county, a deputy shoots and kills a man who he says charged at him with a knife. The sheriff says it all started when deputies responded to a fight at a home on bookelia circle in bradenton. A woman called 9 11 to say her husband 50 year old Marc Stoddart had been drinking and threatening to hurt them both with a knife. The sheriff says when deputies got there the man had cut his wrists and was standing outside holding the knife. The deputies reportedly told the man to drop it but they say he charged forward and was shot and killed. The deputy who fired his weapon is on leave while the shooting is under investigation. Developing out of st. Petersburg, a 4 year off a shot thankfully, no one was hurt. Police say the boy had been playing outside a home on yale street south when he chased a cat under the house.
