They say the woman that died today was an absolutely wonderful woman, and they confirmed that the woman who passed away today was a registration clerk in the Emergency Department. Kaiser confirmed she was one of 44 Staff Members who had worked in the emergency room on Christmas Day and later tested positive for covid. She died today from complications from covid. Kaiser and Santa Clara County are now investigating whether an employee who wore an airpowered suit in the Emergency Department, Christmas Day, is linked to the outbreak. That led to 44 Staff Members getting covid. We talked with one employee today who asked us not to identify them, and that person is very concerned about patients. If we got sick with that minimum protection and the patients had less protection, im concerned that there might be a big outbreak amongst the patient population, and also that they may have a worsening case of this than some of us have.
