The National Park Service is proposing entrance fee increases for Acadia National Park in 2023 and be required year-round. This would not affect the Annual Half Price Sale for the month of December or Senior, Access, 4th Grade, Military Annual, and Military Lifetime passes.
The NPS says the increases would put Acadia on the same fee scale as those charged at other iconic national parks such as Yellowstone, Grand Canyon and Yosemite.

The maintenance building and nearby administration building need to be replaced, and maintenance that's been put off has been identified as a priority. Much of what is needed is below the surface of what visitors see, such as culverts and the wastewater system.
