ANN ARBOR, MI Ann Arbor is considering ordinance changes to give renters several extra months before landlords can start showing their occupied apartments to other prospective tenants.
Some landlords are fighting the proposal and voiced opposition at City Council this week, while University of Michigan students and renters expressed support for it.
How quickly landlords begin showing occupied apartments to other prospective tenants for the following year has long been a point of tension between renters and landlords in Ann Arbor.
