it s a country that has almost one thousand years of church history. it s the breadbasket of europe. their flag is blue over gold representing the blue sky, and the gold, or the yellow, is the harvest. so beautiful, but yet in the middle of all of this it s in the middle of a war, and there have been thousands of people that have died. there are over 11 million people who are displaced at this point. about half of them have gone out of the country. the other half are here, inside ukraine, with no place to go. living with friends or relatives. and some cities have converted factories or aboandoned buildings into warehouses with beds, where they can keep them. this is a difficult time for ukraine; so much suffering in this country. at samaritan s purse we have responded. we have several field hospitals. we have a number of clinics. we re doing food distribution. we have about 160 people working here on the ground. we ve got chaplains here from the billy graham evangelistic asso
