There was something going on that he didn t know about. that s not his business. bill: any aspects of collusion he found yesterday? zero. zero. no evidence, no reference to anything that suggested collusion in the sense in which we ve been using it here, that is some criminal relationship between the trump campaign and the russians and the russian effort to influence the 2016 election. we haven t seen anything concrete about that. bill: next question. flynn is back before the judge in march. mid-march. does he go to jail at that time? short answer, i don t know. i think that will it will afford an opportunity for everybody to take a deep breath and time-out and perhaps have a determination that he has cooperated enough after all not to get jail. but i think yesterday was a really bizarre, ugly incident. bill: march 13th is the date on the calendar. mike mukasey, thank you two
His mind i think for other democrats in other parts of the world. the big event was the takeover of a large city called kunduz followed by this ugly incident where we accidentally bombed a hospital and so forth. i think that may have tipped the balance. the president was not eager to do what he just did, but that huge undeniable failure of the policy forced his hand, and now it s true, as brit says, what he s doing is just enough, he hopes, i think, to hold this thing together until the next president can inherit it. that s a hell of a strategy, isn t it, george? if chuck is right, let s keep it together, keep its head above water until it s somebody else s problem? i think the president deserves credit for changing his mind and halfway, at least, accepting the prevailing narrative in this town, which is that if we had just left 10,000 troops in iraq, the dissolution of that country, and almost failed state would not have occurred.
