(WBRC) - Tuscaloosa County Alternative Sentencing awarded more than $150,000 in grants to more than a dozen non-profits. The leader of one of those groups explained how badly the financial help was needed. “We had two fundraisers that had been cancelled and then one of our fundraisers we were able to hold, but it was not a normal format and basically we raised half of what we normally do,” said Ellen Potts, Executive Director of Habitat of Humanity for Tuscaloosa.
