As the funeral service for two young Soweto boys takes place on Friday morning, less than 6km away the suspects arrested in connection with their murders are expected to make their first appearance in the Protea magistrate’s court.
The bereaved families of the boys who fell victim to alleged ritual killings and their lifeless bodies found mutilated in Soweto lamented that their gruesome murder deprived the nation of future leaders.
Fifty-year-old Nqobile Ndlovu and her 36-year-old partner Mthunzi Mzwakhe Zulu were arrested on Wednesday. It emerged that the former is the grandmother of one of the boys.
The couple was formally charged with the brutal mutilation and murder of six-yar-old Tshiamo Rabanye and his 5-year-old friend, Mduduzi Zulu, and chose to represent themselves in court.
